Landscaping Nightmare--Please help. Do I yank everything?

how did it become the 'tenant's responsibility' to 'keep up the landscaping'?????... you might have to trim and mow, but that's as far as that should go.... the landscaping belongs to the landlord and you didn't install the mess, so it's not YOURS to be bothered with..... especially when you don't have the knowledge base that is required to do it right..... let the landlord know that you'll mow and trim but that he needs to send a gardener over to get the place in shape..... if it's that bad, the folks before you didn't have the time or the know-how EITHER... and you shouldn't have to fix THEIR mess..... if he balks, work out an arrangement for the summer where you pay the landscaper a reasonable fee, thru the RENT you give the landlord.... you don't pay the landscaper directly, as he's not working for YOU, but for the landlord!!!..... don't let them put this off on you!!!.....
